Rules of Conduct

The attention of all Members and their Guests is drawn to the Society's Rules of Conduct, which must be followed at all meetings and events organised by the Society and its Branches.

Saturday, 17th March 2007

Bristol

The Branch AGM takes place at 1145 in the Hiley Room of Broadmead Baptist Church and the talk by Peter Hendy, who will speak on his career in the bus industry commences at 1400. Please note that this is not the room we normally occupy.

Saturday May 12th 2007

GLOUCESTER

Branch Meeting 1415 in the Activity Room, "GL1" Leisure Centre, Bruton Way (easy walk from Bus/Rail Station). Speaker will be member Sholto Thomas, Operations Director for Stagecoach, talking about "Stagecoach West".

A study tour of the Forest of Dean area is proposed for the morning, itinerary subject to forthcoming service changes in April.Please contact geoffrey.gould@btinternet.com nearer the date for further details if interested in participating.

Saturday 16th June

joint visit with Midland Branch to Cardiff Bus, also stopping at Newport. Branch members wishing to participate should contact the Branch Secretary (Geoff Gould)

Wednesday 19th September

joint meeting with CTPG at County Hall, Atlantic Wharf, Cardiff, 1930. Branch member Peter Heath, Commercial Manager, Cardiff Bus, to address meeting on "Cardiff Bus - Providing Transport for Europe`s Youngest Capital City".

Saturday 10th November

St Andrew's Parish Centre, 123 Shebourne Road Road, Bournemouth (BH8 8RD) - short distance from Rail Station, bus route 24 - Presentation and speaker from Transdev Yellow Buses on recent developments in the town.

Doors open at 13:15 for 14:00, and the meeting should conclude by 16:30.

BRISTOL - Branch AGM and presentation by Alan Peters, A-Bus of Bristol

 

Cardiff Transport Preservation Group

SWW Members are welcomed at the monthly meetings of this organisation, held from 1930 on (usually) the 3rd Wednesday of the month at County Hall, Cardiff Bay, and often featuring speakers or topics of joint interest.

19th Dec - Quiz Night

Note - Saturday afternoon meetings commence at 1400 (doors open 1330) and conclude 1630.

Non-Members and Guests are welcome, although advance advice of intent to the address below would be appreciated, in order to gauge the numbers for which to cater.
