Welcome to the web site of the Omnibus Society. This Title Page provides links to the various pages on our site. If you are interested in details of buses, and their individual histories, you may wish to visit the web site of the PSV Circle. Many members of the Society are also members of the PSV Circle, with whom we have collaborated closely for many years. Buses overseas are catered for by Buses Worldwide, whose web site you may wish to visit. A list of their meetings can be found at this page.

Application FormTo apply for Membership, by post only, you can download the Application Form as a PDF file of approx 110kB in two pages, which needs Adobe Acrobat Reader to read and print out. Most modern computers have this program installed, for reading manuals provided on disk.
The Omnibus MagazineThe Society's Journal is published bi-monthly. Contents lists and images of the front covers of copies since 1990 are available.
Library and ArchiveThese are located at Walsall and Acton, with details in this section of the facilities and locations.
BranchesThe Branches are autonomous bodies, affiliated to the Society, and this section gives details of their activities and programmes
Osmartis an affiliated body to the Society, and provides a service which buys items of bus literature and complete collections at prices equal to, if not better than, those of commercial dealers. Initially, any items that are not represented in the Society library are diverted there. The remainder are listed in catalogues which are issued at approximately bi-monthly intervals, in the first instance to subscribing members only, who thus have first choice of purchasing many rare books, timetables and other ephemera at sensible prices.
Presidential WeekendsEach year the Society holds a Presidential Weekend. Details of previous events and the forthcoming event wil be found here.

Rules of Conduct for MembersThis page sets out the Rules of Conduct for Members of the Society, and their Guests, which must be followed at meetings and on visits to operators and other events.

If you are unable to use the downloadable form, please write to the Honorary Secretary at the Registered Office (see below). He will provide full details of current subscription rates and levels of Membership. Subscriptions may be made through Gift Aid to allow the Society to take advantage of its Charitable Status. Membership is open to anyone with an interest in Road Passenger Transport.
