Surrey-based Tlllingbourne had set up the subsidiary earlier that year to initially maintain a link between Croydon and Forestdale, following the collapse of Orpington & District After a visit to the main base at Green Street Green, some of today's Metrobus routes will be followed en route to the company's other bases at Godstone and Lewes. The visit will depart from the Orpington Station Interchange at 10.00. but we will await the 09.40 from Charing X (due at 10.03), if not too late, for anyone booked who is delayed, Otherwise take a 358 bus to garage. A Travelcard valid in Zones 1 to 6 Is needed for travel to Orpington. Metrobus route 353 is an alternative departing from Addington Tramlink Interchange at 09.25 The bargain price for This visit is to be just £7.50 due to the generosity of the company. It will be collected on the day. |

Visit to the Wisbech and Kings Lynn Area This year's June visit jointly with the Midland Branch, will take us north to Cambridgeshire and just tnto Norfolk, We will head for Peterborough Bus Station to meet up with our Midlands colleagues. Then we continue to Wisbech and Kings Lynn with time for a stop at each. The opportunity to call at some local independent operators on the way will be arranged. A coach will leave London (Victoria Embankment) at 08:45 sharp. Pickup points at Finchley Road, Hendon, Mill Hill etc. can be arranged. The cost of the trip should be no more than £14.50, payable on the day. |
