Hertfordshire Rover This study tour, which unfortunately had to be cancelled in 2007, will now take place on the above date. The starting point is again Stratford Bus Station at 10:00, noting as we depart the work that has taken place on the 2012 Olympic Gamnes site. The first part of the tour will be a study of route 313, starting at the present terminus at Chingford, and continuing beyond Potters Bar towards St Albans and Whipsnade Zoo, where it went when part of the Country bus network. The lunch break will probably be in St Albans, and after that we will go on to look at the current scene in Hatfield, Welwyn Garden City and Stevenage, then heading south to Barnet and Central London, arriving at about 5 o'clock. Short stops will be included at the bus stations in most of the towns visited. You can join the trip at any reasonable point between Stratford and Chingford. We will not be able to wait too long at Stratford Bus Station, so any late arrival should contact the mobile number, which they will be given, to warn of that event. The charge for the trip will be £10, to be collected on the day. Booking is required, and can be made by contacting the Branch Visits Secretary, details on the Branch page. |
