Oxford 4th - 7th September, 2009

The Omnibus Society's Presidential Weekend was held on 4th to 7th September, based around Oxford. The extensive programme of visits and presentations was devised and led by the Society President, Philip Kirk, Managing Director of the Oxford Bus Company.
The weekend included visits to the Oxford Bus Company's headquarters; the Oxford Bus Museum; and local operators such as Worth's of Enstone, Thames Travel, Woottens Coaches, First Berkshire and Thames Valley, Arriva The Shires (High Wycombe) and Stagecoach Oxford.
One of the buses used for the weekend trips was a new Scania Enviro 400 double-decker, one of eleven joining the Oxford Bus Company fleet for the Brookes University services. Pictured here:
